# ClipMill > ClipMill is a free, open-source desktop video clipping tool. Find moments in long recordings, review suggested clips, edit captions and framing, and export short videos on your own computer. Official product site: https://clipmill.tech/. ClipMill is a downloadable desktop app for macOS, Windows (beta), and Linux, with local processing by default. The application source is licensed AGPL-3.0-only. Initial setup downloads components and models. Local analysis and export can work offline after setup. YouTube import, model acquisition, optional cloud analysis, and enabled update notices use the internet. Model speed depends on hardware.
